Does anyone know if I can find a Chambers around New York City preferably a 50's model and it doesn't matter which one. I first saw the stove on Rachel Ray's show and thought that it was a wonderful stove. Does anyone also know where this stove is produced? And if they are still making this stove. Is it really hard to get a stove like this in N.Y.C?

Although they are no longer making NEW ones, that doesn;t mean they're not available!
I'm told that CHAMBERS sold tons of them in the New York City area - especially to apartment houses.
Check your local papers, Craigslist, eBay, etc.
One's bound to show up!

Chibixholic,
I live in Bayside Queens which is 20 min from NYC(on a good day). Once in a while a chambers will pop up in NYC. However, there's lots of them in Queens, Nassau. I see a lot at tag sales. I got mine in Great Neck. You should get Newsday and look through it during the week under tag sales, they'll list a chambers if it's part of the sale. New Jersey might be an option for you too.(right over the river)

Estate and garage sales also list them here.
By "NYC", I meant the entire area, especially hte boroughs.

Are you willing to drive? I saw this one a while back and asked for additional pic's and it looks beautiful! http://newjersey.craigslist.org/hsh/118452306.html
I don't know if it's still available, but it looks in good condition. I have been looking for months and was willing to do some driving to find the right one. I too became interested after watching Rachael. Finally I found one doing some obscure searches on google and thankfully I don't have to drive too far. So I'll be changing my name soon!

That one in NJ looks nice! Many of us had to drive to get our stoves and it was worth it!! Especially if you look at it as possibly being the last stove you'll ever have to buy ...

Hi Chibixholic, don't worry, Chambers are MUCH easier to find in your neck of the woods than in many areas.
I bought 2 Soves in the last 3 months out of the NYC area, and I only went looking for colored ones. (one yellow, one green) They come up fairly often on ebay - one every week or two.

There's one in Amityville, NY on E-bay #7587926062.
It has a reserve, but no bids as of now.
